Eating Habits for a Healthy Lifestyle
Wednesday, February 20th, 2008There’s truth in what we usually hear “You are what you usually eat”. Do you take note on what kind of food you put into your mouth? Do you even bother to read up on the labels at the back of those potato chips you enjoyed munching while watching the television?
The food that we eat every single day usually is high in sugar with lots of additives in it. Do you even wonder why your favorite corned beef that has been in your locker tastes so good no matter how long it has been stored inside the can? Well, I’m sure the preservatives did a very good job by keeping it from becoming stale.
The hard fact is that, we as consumers are helpless in a way that we simply have to make do with whatever is available in the grocery store. But don’t get too sad, there is always an alternative to eat healthy foods.
No matter how busy our schedule is everyday, it’s still best to cook our own food. When visiting the grocery store, make sure you buy fresh fruits and vegetables. We can also plan our week ahead so it would be easy to decide everyday what to eat. When you buy fish, make sure its fresh.
Eating healthy foods is always a choice and takes a lot of commitment. Although at first buying from the nearest fast food restaurant is the easiest way to satisfy our hunger, still it’s always worth your effort knowing that the food that you put in your mouth is healthy and good for your body.
